Kryptonite: 2001-2002 Solo performance that began with a list of 350 ways to die. Kryptonite interweaves fragments of interviews with people in which they describe the circumstances on the day leading up to the death of someone they knew. We are confronted with the everydayness of death. What was the last thing that that person ate? What were they wearing? Who was the last person they kissed? Ellen contorts and struggles to reach the peak of fitness in an attempt to learn how to fly, become a superhero and therefore cheat the inevitability of death.
